The Regional Account (RA)

Eighty-five percent of the annual allocation from HUD is distributed to the four rural COGs primarily by population and poverty statistics.

SEAGO must develop a Method of Distribution (MOD).

SEAGO's Responsibilities

• Ensuring all applications meet a National Objective.
• Ensuring each project is eligible.
• Ensuring the total of all funds requested is consistent with the MOD and not exceeding the funds available.
• Ensuring each application is complete.
• Finalizing all applications so they are consistent.

Currently per the MOD, all communities rotate. There is no competition for regional funds.

• That means they can plan years ahead.
