Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC)

SEAGO’s Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC) is made up of one representative from each community and county within the region, as well as the Tucson District Engineer and the Safford District Engineer. This committee discusses regional information and needs, suggests and then approves projects for the Transportation Improvement Program.

All activities requiring TAC approval must be brought before the TAC, then once approved, it is presented to SEAGO’s Administrative and Executive Councils for approval. Once this is done, the project is then added to the SEAGO TIP and then on to the State Transportation Board for approval to the STIP. Once a project is approved, funding is scheduled according to the five year construction plan.
