Virtually anyone can apply for Transportation Enhancement funding! However, to receive consideration, and be awarded funding, the project must be sponsored by an appropriate governmental agency. The sponsoring agency is usually a town, city, county, tribe, or federal land management agency.
This is a highly competitive pot of money. Only $8,000,000 is awarded for local projects and $5,000,000 awarded for state projects for the whole state of Arizona.
The people who are developing the ideas - whether it be a government entity, group, or individual - must first submit their ideas to SEAGO. SEAGO staff will evaluate your idea, and provide technical assistance, and advice for your project.
